High School Student

My name is Deryck Smith and I live in the beautiful state of Colorado. I am a 17-year-old high school student aspiring to one day become a sports journalist. One of the biggest aspects of Colorado life is sports teams. Because of this, I fell in love with sports at a very young age. I am a fan of the Colorado teams but this does not restrict me from reporting on other teams. I am most knowledgeable on the NFL but love reporting on other sports too. I am always looking for outlets to combine my love for sports and my love for writing, and I believe I have found a way to do that through sports journalism.
