Reaction: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) vs Real Madrid Last 16

What an ending to a lackluster match between two heavyweights in the champions league.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) defeated Real Madrid 1-0 with the lone goal scored by Kylian Mbappe with a tremendous solo act goal to give PSG the advantage ahead of the second leg in 2 weeks.

The match wasn’t too impressive during the first half but PSG was the dominating side of the two. In the second half it was more of the same but there was a noticeable increase in intensity. Midway through the second half, PSG was awarded a penalty when Real Madrid defender Carvajal brought down Mbappe in the penalty box.

Real Madrid's public enemy number one Lionel Messi stood up and took the penalty but it was saved by Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to keep Madrid in the game. In the last minutes of the game, PSG made a breakthrough, when Neymar provided a slick backheel pass to Mbappe, then Mbappe with his brilliance managed to go past two defenders and score to give PSG the late win.

PSG has the advantage as they head to Madrid in 2 weeks, but Real Madrid will come back fighting at the Bernabéu and hopefully make a comeback in this tie to qualify for the quarter-finals.
